Job Description:
Due to the growth of our business, Boston Rainbow Bridge LLC is in demand for the professional services of an Instructional Coordinator. The Instructional Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:
Develop Curriculum and Instructional Activities
(60% of the time)
• Create and integrate instruction tools, including music elements, into the school's overall curriculum to improve children's learning interest and efficiency;
• Implement UDL (Universal Design for Learning Approach) and DI (Differentiated instruction) strategies, promoting bilingualism, fostering social-emotional skills, and enhancing speech and language abilities in both languages.
• Select and develop instructional materials and resources that cater to the diverse linguistic backgrounds of students, including those with mild autism.
• Analyze target audience demographics and learner environment to identify objectives of lessons, curricular units, and projects, as well as appropriate instructional strategies;
• Develop strategies to create a classroom and total school environment that is conducive to learning and is appropriate to the maturity and interests of the diverse students;
• Review and update curriculum documents to incorporate emerging educational standards, research findings, and pedagogical advancements;
Assess Effectiveness of the Curriculum and Implement Necessary Changes
(30% of the time)
• Create status reports, progress metrics, surveys, and questionnaires to conduct research and perform studies regarding instructional programs' efficacy.
• Collect and analyze student performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of the current curriculum, identifying strengths and areas for improvement;
• Collaborate with general education teachers to enhance music-related knowledge by suggesting Music Technology Software (such as GarageBand), music textbooks, and other
educational materials;
• Assess effectiveness and efficiency of instruction according to ease of instructional technology use and student learning, knowledge transfer, and satisfaction;
• Monitor and analyze student and teacher feedback, identifying patterns and trends to inform music curriculum enhancements;
• Provide analytical support for the design and development of training curricula, learning strategies, educational policies, or courseware standards;
• Stay up-to-date with educational trends, integrating innovative instructional approaches and best practices into curriculum development and improvement;
• Introduce new technologies that will enhance and facilitate the delivery of multimedia courses based on industry research;
Other
(10% of the time)
• Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, corporation policy, and administrative regulations;
• Stay abreast of current research through continuing education, educational seminars, workshops, conferences, membership in professional organizations of the subject taught, and attendance at corporation-sponsored services;
• Participate in staff meetings and communicate necessary information regularly to colleagues, students, and their parents; and
• Perform ad hoc projects as assigned by the director.
Minimum Requirements:
• Master degree in education, music education, or a closely related major;
• 6 months experience in related field.
• Knowledge of childcare principles and practices;
• Proficiency in using childcare management software such as ProCare;
• Expertise in developing and implementing music curriculum plans;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Annual Salary $ 58,094.
